NPC Template... One Character, Three Depths
A downloadable project
Most NPC sheets assume you know how important a character is before you meet them. At the table it rarely works like that. Someone you scribbled in ten seconds becomes the party's favourite; someone you spent an hour on gets ignored.
This template is built for that reality. One character, three depths, and you choose which depth you need in the moment.
10 Seconds — the version you fill in while the players are still talking. A name, a defining trait, a scribble box. Enough that the character exists somewhere and you can find them again.
10 Minutes — for a character who came back and now matters. What they want, who they answer to, a note from their return.
10 Sessions — for the ones who become part of the story. History, secrets, and a Reveal Ledger that tracks what the players actually know and when they learned it.
There's a How This Works page up front, and a four-up quarter-card capture sheet at the back you can cut out and keep by the screen.
Six pages. Print it, fill it in by hand, reuse it forever.
